Inkaterra officially presented the opening of its two newest boutique properties at a media launch at New York’s renowned Per Se restaurant. The luncheon brought together top American media to know first-hand the newest additions to Inkaterra’s portfolio of unique properties and authentic Peruvian experiences, opening in May:
We have built a remarkable 200-meter long wooden bridge on the Aguajales swamps close to the Lodge. Called the Anaconda Walk, the Aguajales bridge objective is to let guests make the most of their exotic journey through the wetlands with an inside look at the biodiversity and wildlife in this fascinating ecosystem. Hosting a wide variety of flora and fauna species on the marshy parts of the Amazon rainforest, the Anaconda Walk is the latest attraction of the Reserva Amazonica Lodge.

Inkaterra, Peru’s foremost purveyor of sustainable tourism launched a new book entitled “Orchids in Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel”, commemorating the 20 years of in situ (on-site) conservation of native orchid species. Situated in Machu Picchu’s cloud forest, Inkaterra’s Machu Picchu Hotel has 372 species of orchids, the world’s largest diversity of native species set in their natural environment inside a private facility, according to the American Orchid Society. The Orchid Trail Walk is one of the hotel’s popular nature attractions, which guests can enjoy in their included excursions.
