Founder of INKATERRA and ITA. He has been Chairman of various organizations related to tourism including the National Chamber of Tourism and the Peruvian Association of Adventure Travel and Ecotourism. Currently, Mr. Koechlin is the Chairman of the Hotel Society of Peru, Board Member of the National Chamber of Tourism and Board Member Emeritus of Conservation International. He has produced distinguished films and contributed with several new species to science.
Enrique is a professional with more than 20 years of experience working for high level companies and government entities. He has a proven successful career managing five star hotels in Peru. Enrique holds an MBA with a specialization in Executive Management and Finances.
Polyglot French citizen with 32 years of experience in the tourism industry. For more than 10 years she managed one of the largest European tour operators of French tourists in the Americas. After extensive travel and work in various countries around the world, Claire was appointed Sales Manager of INKATERRA in April 1984.
Sara is a firm believer in protecting the environment and has been involved with many conservation projects. She holds a degree in Forest Engineering.
Alejandro has always been involved in the tourism industry. He holds an MBA in Leisure Management and has held different positions in a variety of 5 star hotels in Peru and abroad.
Michael is a native of Bellingham, Washington USA. Graduated from the Washington State University with degrees in Sociology of Business and Economy as well as Social Psychology. He fine tuned his customer service skills working in tourism and Food and Beverage in various vacation destinations such as Mackinac Island Michigan, Captiva Island Florida and Key West Florida before moving to Peru and joining Inkaterra. Michael is a advocate of environmental preservation and has been an active supporter of "Reef Relief" and the "Surfrider Foundation".
Rosa has six years of experience in the Peruvian tourism industry and has a degree in Accountancy from The San Antonio Abad University from Cusco.
Ignacio has experience in strategy consulting and consumer banking as well as change management. He has been one of the leaders in designing and implementing the recent growth and restructuring of the group. Mr. Masias has a Master's in Business Administration from The Wharton School.
Marlene has been working in the tourism industry for more than 15 years. She has worked with both outgoing and incoming tourism, and has more than 8 years of experience with the French and Italian market. Marlene joined INKATERRA in 1994 and is fluent in English, French and Italian.
Sandra is involved in the consolidation and implementation of INKATERRA's identity through service and design. She holds a Master degree in Political Science from Georgetown University and has spent 10 years in gardening design.
Denise has devoted herself to expressing perfection through her ample knowledge of Andean culture after living eight years in the high andes. The simplicity of the Andean spirit is well expressed in her interior design, her excellent cuisine and landscape.
Liza acts as liaison between Inkaterra and its clients and partners within Europe. She has broad experience in hotel management, conservation and fund raising, and a good understanding of corporate social responsability and sustainable development issues. Liza previously worked for the Four Seasons Hotel company, Conservation International, the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian Institution, and most recently for InSpire Invest (a Norwegian CSR consultancy). Liza holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
José has his bachelor's degree in biology from San Marcos University and has been committed to nature conservation since 1980. He joined the INKATERRA group in 1991 and founded ITA (Inkaterra Association) in 2001 along with Mr. Jose Koechlin. Jose has extensive experience in ecotourism and has collaborated on projects with the World Bank, the United Nations and the National Geographic Society.
