He has been Chairman of various organizations related to tourism including the National Chamber of Tourism and the Peruvian Association of Adventure Travel and Ecotourism. Currently, Mr. Koechlin is the Chairman of the Hotel Society of Peru, Board Member of the National Chamber of Tourism and Board Member Emeritus of Conservation International. He has produced distinguished films and contributed with several new species to science.

Liza Masias
Director of Business Development, Europe

Liza acts as liaison between Inkaterra and its clients and partners within Europe. She has broad experience in hotel management, conservation and fund raising, and a good understanding of corporate social responsability and sustainable development issues. Liza previously worked for the Four Seasons Hotel company, Conservation International, the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian Institution, and most recently for InSpire Invest (a Norwegian CSR consultancy). Liza holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.

He joined the INKATERRA group in 1991 and founded ITA (Inkaterra Association) in 2001 along with Mr. Jose Koechlin. Jose has extensive experience in ecotourism and has collaborated on projects with the World Bank, the United Nations and the National Geographic Society.
