Continue to Colca Canyon, Peru’s version of Grand Canyon but twice as deep and dotted with colonial era villages, quaint cultures and terraces, with its main attraction, the Condors’ flight from a strategic look out point. Cross the canyons towards the Andean altiplanos, to Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake, at 3,810 meters; visit Andean communities in the islands of Taquile, Amantani or Uros as well as see archeological sites such as Chullpas de Sillustani. From Titicaca, en route to Cusco, see striking colonial churches and Inca ruins through Lampa, Raqchi, Piquillacta, Andahuaylillas and Tipon and go straight to Sacred Valley.
