Fatima was born and raised in Lima, She studied at Cenfotur, a Tourism Formation Center, and graduated as a Professional Tourist Guide. She worked as a freelance guide for Lima City Tours, specializing in archeology, colonial arts and mystical tours. She has a special interest in medicinal plants and she is currently involved in arborium projects for Inkaterra. Fluent in English and French, she is an accomplished interpreter at the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. Archeology is her passion.

Marco Antonio Huaman Ovalle

Marco was born and brought up in Cusco, as well as in part of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. After leaving school Marco studied Biology at the San Antonio Abad del Cusco University and guiding through the SENATI institute while working as a biologist assistant on many projects. Marco first worked as a resident biologist and guide at Eco Amazonia Lodge for four years before joining Inkaterra´s Reserva Amazonica lodge as an Interpreter. He has now been transferd to Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel and is in the process of completing a Taxidermy proyect.

Katia was born in Lima, Peru. She studied at the National Agrarian University La Molina in Lima and graduated as Forestry engineer. Since a young age she has been traveling around the world developing interest and passion for Nature. Her goals are to work in projects helping people to understand the importance of the natural resources and the way they can manage them. At the moment she is making a project about the botanical description and uses from different trees and bushes that can be found at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. She speaks fluent Spanish, English and German and works for Inkaterra Machu Picchu as an environmental interpreter since August 2007.

Braulio Puma

Braulio Puma was born in Cusco Peru , he is a professional tour guide and he has studied at the Private Institute of "Americana del Cusco"

He has worked as an “adventure” guide on most of the Andean regions of Cusco. Nowadays, his goal is to learn more about the Flora and Fauna of the Cloud Forest ecosystem ,and to realize some projects for the indian communities, to develop some programs for the children in association with ecotourism. Currently, he is working for INKATERRA, in MACHU-PICCHU - as an environmental interpreter.

Andres Casas Ponce de Leon

Andres Casas Ponce de Leon was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He studied at Cenfotur, a Tourism Formation Center. He worked as a freelance guide for Cusco Tours, he was a forest keeper in Machupicchu, specializing in archeology, and adventure tours. He has a special interest about Incas culture, Incas legends and Peruvian history. He speaks english, and he’s studied basic Italian language, he is an accomplished interpreter at the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. He´s developing a big plants compilation project around Putukusi mountain nearby Aguas Calientes town.

Ingrid Rabitsch Musso

Ingrid was born in Lima, Peru and raised both in the Lima and Trujillo departments. She is 24 years old. Ingrid studied at the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina and graduated in Biology. She was a volunteer in Wasaí Lodge & Expeditions in the Peruvian rain forest and in the Yosemite National Park in CA, USA, where she learned English. Ingrid would like to travel and visit as many different ecosystems as she can. She is a fan of animals specially mammals and that’s why she wants to become a specialist in animal behavior and habitat management.

Ingrid has been working at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel since October 2007 and is a valuable member of our team.

Roberto Tello Zambrano

Roberto Tello was born and raised in Ica – Peru. He graduated with a Major in Tourism at the National Univesity San Luis Gonzaga in Ica. When he was a student he participated in a project on Ecology which awoke his interest on Ecotourism. He is fluent in English and Portuguese. He worked for Hotels and Resorts in Peru as well as abroad. Roberto has also worked as a Tour Guide in Ica City and a Tour Guide Asistance in Cusco City. He loves nature, adventure, history and enjoys traveling, meeting new friends and learning different cultures.

He is currently working for Inkaterra as an Environmental Interpreter. Roberto would like to develop a project on Management of Natural Resources. He is convinced sustainable tourism is by far the best option to show Peru’s nature and culture.

Yashira Bejar Oraica

Yashira was born in Cusco, Peru. She studied at the National University San Antonio Abad in Cusco, and has got a degree in Tourism. Since she was a child she lived in the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, where she developed an interest and passion for Nature and the Incas culture which helped her learn about some traditions and costumes. At 15 Yashira moved to Cusco city were she finished studying and worked at different hotels, travel agencies, and as a free-lance guide.

At the moment she is working as an environmental interpreter for Inkaterra Machu Picchu were she wants to better her knowledge in Flora and Fauna, as well as pass on the Inca traditions. One of her aims at Inkaterra is to improve the “Quechua Manual” with legends and history poems about the Andean Cultures.
