Lima

International Orchid Exhibition, event organized by the Peruvian Orchid Society (November 24 to 26) – Great exhibition focusing on orchid flowers following the NGC and AOS guidelines.

Location : Museum of Contemporary Art of Lima – Ave. Almte. Miguel Grau 1511, Barranco

The International Orchid Exhibition offers 5 components:

Designs reviewed under the Nation Gardens Club (NGC) guidelines.
Education: Government and Non-Government Institutions raise awareness on Peruvian biodiversity conservation.
Temporary gardens: The event’s main attraction consists of extraordinary displays showcase around 1000 orchid species or hybrids, allowing the public to closely observe species that are rather hard to spot in situ. This section is reviewed by American Orchid Society jury members, visiting from the US.
Conferences: Jury members and national experts on orchid research give talks during the event’s two days. Open to the general public.
Sales: Orchid trade at highly competitive prices.
