The economic program Innóvate Perú (Ministry of Production) and Inkaterra Asociación are developing a touristic underwater route in Cabo Blanco, for scuba and snorkel diving. The initiative aims to find appealing zones for ecotourism, from marine landscapes to coral reefs. In association with Ricardo Bouroncle (BOZ), a new diving suit is currently being designed for user safety. The device will include sensors to measure water pressure, depth and body temperature.
Marine conservation initiatives include biodiversity inventories overseen by researcher Yuri Hooker. Species identification (fish and invertebrates) will allow Inkaterra Asociación to determine Cabo Blanco’s ocean baseline, as well as underwater conservation projects.
