The legendary Werner Herzog is one of the boldest filmmakers in cinema history, Herzog grasped the essence of the Peruvian Amazon through his audacious vision in the cult films Aguirre: the Wrath of God (1972) and Fitzcarraldo (1982) – both co-produced by Inkaterra founder José Koechlin, whose fond memory of his long-lasting friendship with Herzog is available in our blog.
