Javier
Head Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
Born in Puerto Maldonado, Javier studied tourism at SENATI and worked at the Tambopata Research Center. His professional experience allowed him to raise awareness on the rainforest’s biodiversity, especially on bird watching. Since then, he has joined several training workshops on this eco-friendly activity and has led birding expeditions in Manu and Tambopata natural reserves. As a member of the Inkaterra Explorer Guides team, he enjoys getting to know travellers from different places in the world.
David
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Born in the community of Lagarto, located along the Madre de Dios River in the district of Laberinto, province of Tambopata. David studied at Jorge Basadre Institute the career of Official Tourism Guide, his greatest dream. He began his professional activities working in small eco lodges in the area, specializing in adventure sports such as kayaking, Zip-Line and tree climbing. For his love of nature, he was constantly participating as a volunteer in conservation projects in the Amazon rainforest within the Tambopata National Reserve. We can now find David at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, where with great sympathy and skills he shares his local knowledge with the travelers who visit the Peruvian Jungle.
Constantino
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Constantino was born in the region of Apurímac, since very young age he moved to the province of Manu. Due to his great passion for the nature, he decided to study the career of Official Tourism Guide. After concluding his professional studies, he worked in different tourism companies in the region. Nowadays, he is part of Inkaterra explorer guides team at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, sharing his skills and knowledge with the travelers of the entire world.
Saay
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Nature guide with more than 11 years of experience, Saay was born in the city of Puerto Maldonado. He spent his childhood in his mother’s farm, surrounded by nature, growing up loving the native flora and fauna, which inclined him to study the career of Tourism Guide in the city of Puerto Maldonado. In 2008, when he finished his studies, he started working as a guide for several companies in the area. His desire to grow professionally led Saay cross the border and serve as a guide in the Pantanal Mato Grosso in the city of Cuiba, Brazil. After a year, he returned to his birthplace and joined the explorer guides team at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, sharing his passion for nature, his experience and knowledge with the travelers.
Samuel
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Born in the district of Manu, province of Manu. Samuel spent his childhood on the community Palotoa Llactapampa. While finishing his school years at José Abelardo Quiñones school, he decided to study at the Manu Public Technological Institute, graduating in the technical career of Official Tourism Guide. In 2015, he decided to move to Puerto Maldonado to work in different areas. He arrived to Inkaterra in 2016, where he started his professional experience at the tourism world, serving until now as explorer guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica. Samuel is happy to be part of Inkaterra’ family and he continues his efforts to enrich his knowledge and continue growing as a professional in his greatest passion: being a guide.
Ulderico B.
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Since childhood Ulderico has been interested in adventure sports such as cycling and hiking, which led him to study Tourism at the Antonio Lorena Institute.
In order to practice English and gain professional experience he decided to work in various travel agencies. He worked as an explorer guide of Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, wishing to discover new routes that have connection with the Apus. As a personal challenge he becames an explorer guide of Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica.
Fredy
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
Fredy was born in the rainforest of Madre de Dios, in the community of Lagarto, located along the Madre de Dios River in the district of Laberinto, province of Tambopata. He began his primary studies in the community, but to be able to continue his secondary studies Fredy moved to the city of Puerto Maldonado and subsequently continued his studies to become an Official Tourism Guide in a private institution (SENATI). Having finished the career he had the opportunity to work as a Ranger in the Tambopata National Reserve. This served him to gain more experience in the field especially regarding the local flora and fauna. He also worked as a guide for different hostels near the National Reserve. Today Fredy has more than 13 years of experience working in tourism in the region and currently, we can find him at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica delighted to work in the jungle and ready to share with the travelers everything he has learned.
Paolo
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
Paolo was born in 1987, in the Amazonian city of Puerto Maldonado. He was raised by his father, surrounded by nature. After graduating from high school, he decided to be an Official Tour Guide. For some years we worked on various tourism enterprises until he was able to join the Explorer Guides team at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica.
Josue
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
Born in Cusco in 1985, Josué spend his childhood and teenage years surrounded by nature while studying at El Manu province. Since then he developed a great passion on Peruvian biodiversity. With his brother’s help, he visited the city of Puerto Maldonado in Madre de Dios – “Peru’s capital of biodiversity” – for the first time when he turned 18 years old. This trip inspired Josué to become an official tour guide. At Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, he enjoys sharing his knowledge on local flora and fauna
Plinio
Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica
Born in Quillabamba, la Convencion. Since he was a child, he had a special interest in fishing in the jungle and that is how his love for nature started. He grew in Colorado, province of Manu. From 2003 to 2006, he studied at Tecnológico Jorge Basadre Groham to become an Official Tour Guide, at the end of his studies he volunteered to work at Tropicana (Madre de Dios) serpentarium where he learned a lot about oppossums. Plinio is passionate about birds, and after being part of the Explorer Guides team at Hacienda Concepcion, currently we can find him at Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica pleased to continue sharing his knowledge with our guests and always alert to any possible sighting.
